The second bedroom is appointed with a queen sized bed and a view of the canal that runs alongside the property. The third bedroom has twin bunk beds for those who aren't afraid to climb the ladder! The main living space is open concept, with a wall of windows looking towards the lake. The kitchen is brand new, with beautiful granite countertops, island seating, and a large dining table. We have two seating areas indoors, although you'll probably spend more time outside! There is a large patio with plenty of outdoor furniture, as well as a fire pit to warm up chilly nights. Our secluded bay is surprisingly close to most of Chautauqua's main attractions, such as the Chautauqua Institute, which is just about a 5 minute drive by car (or 10 minutes by boat!). You are welcome to dock your boat at the community dock where we have one dedicated space, located directly in front of our property. The master bathroom has a garden sized Jacuzzi tub and a walk in shower big enough for two next to a double vanity. There are extra air mattresses with all bedding. Upstairs you will find a full bath with double vanity and the rest of the bedrooms. All bedrooms have ceiling fans (along with central air), carpeting, and lovely bedspreads and pillows. Sheets are provided 1 set per bed and extra pillows in the closets. -2nd bedroom: Comfy Queen Bed with room for an extra queen air bed. -3rd bedroom: Queen, and additional fold out couch with a double bed. New mattress! -4th bedroom: Extra-large with 2 bunks, a queen and a fold out full mattress. Plenty of room for a single air bed. Great place for a big family or all the kids! The large deck has 2 large dining tables and a stunning view day or at night watching the lights sparkle across the lake late in the evening. There is a newly added glass propane fire table on the deck to relax in the evening. We provide a 6 burner gas grill with tools and an apron for the master BBQ King. There is a large, flat, dry area perfect for games like corn hole (You will find we are Clemson fans) and badminton, or for lounging around the stone campfire pit. Fire wood is not provided but there may be some left from earlier renters. Firewood can be purchased all along the main road for $10/bundle or at Wegman's grocery store. There is plenty of parking for at least up to 8 vehicles (including boat or Jet Ski trailers) with some maneuvering. There is room to park your personal watercraft (up to 3) on our dock with tie-offs, and the public boat launch is just a few doors down at the Chautauqua Marina. We do have dock power if you need it. We provide 3 kayaks, a 2-3 person canoe, a few paddle boards, several tow behind inflatables for boating or just tie to the dock and float around. Several inner tubes and floating chairs for lounging. Men's and woman's short set golf clubs with bags available. We hope to have wide steps built off of our break-wall next year but we do provide a ladder off of the dock. It's located in the westernmost part of New York State, is a resort area centered around famed Chautauqua Institution. Its western border is Lake Erie. Many wineries are a short drive away. The home is located approximately 70 miles southwest of Buffalo, 50 miles northeast of Erie, PA and is served by the major airports in those cities as well as the Chautauqua County Airport. Interstate routes I-86 and I-90 connect with major eastern, Canadian and western cities and markets. Our climate is varied, parts being tempered by Lake Erie and parts at higher altitudes providing cool summers and snow cover for three major ski resort areas. Our average summer temperature is 77 degrees and our winters average 32 degrees. It is home to the world famed Chautauqua Institution and four other major resort and vacation regions, providing a wide variety of spring, summer, fall and winter activities. One can find boating, fishing, hiking, downhill skiing, X-country skiing, cycling, snowmobiling, Amish handicrafts, hunting, antiquing, concerts, and art shows to name a few! Some say Chautauqua (shah tau' qua) is a Seneca Indian name meaning 'Bag Tied in the Middle'. A look at the map shows the name fits the lake. It is 17.3 miles long and boasts some of the best fishing opportunities in the country whether you're a novice or an avid angler. Luxury lake home built in 2004, located on a large private lot. Woods on one side, a creek on the other and the lake in front offer privacy, tranquility and beautiful views. Interior is decorated beautifully with solid cherry hardwood floors on the main level, corian countertops, comfort appliances and new furniture. There is a gas-burning fireplace on the lower level and a heat producing wood-burning fireplace with stone masonry on the main level. The house has central air conditioning. The lower level has 2 bedrooms which sleep 5(3 singles in one room and 2 in the other), a half bathroom and a large family room with fireplace and a poker table. The main level has a porch across the back and a large deck all the way across the front, offering a huge 'extra room' outdoors. Also on the main level are 2 bedrooms(2 singles in one room and 1 in the other), a full bath, modern kitchen, laundry room, living room with fireplace, dining room and private sunroom. The second floor has two large bedrooms, each with queen-size beds, and a full bath. The back yard has enough room to park 6+ cars and there is room for boat or snowmobile trailers. Historic Yale Cottage is close to the shore of Lake Chautauqua and Bestor Plaza. This third floor space has three bedrooms with two full baths, central air, WiFi, private covered porch living space, fully equipped kitchen that is newly remodeled, private laundry in unit, cheerful and lovely furnishings and finishes. Very clean and comfortable for families or friends traveling together. Please note that during the 9 week summer Chautauqua Assembly season a separate gate pass/ ticket must be purchased to enter the grounds. The downstairs is open living space is open to kitchen/ dining area with plenty of seating, a large picture window facing the lake. French doors lead to a private patio area with patio set with lots of seating options, hot tub, grill, big green egg grill, and portable propane fire pit. The campfire ring and lake are just steps away. The interior is spacious , newly painted and in excellent condition. The lakehouse boasts 4 bedrooms,(3 with lake views) with an expansive sunroom off of the master bedroom, and another bonus sun room privately on the other side of the house- both sunrooms could be used for extra sleeping rooms. There are 3 king mattresses, one queen and pull out couches in both sunrooms if needed. The master bedroom is downstairs as are the sunrooms, then there are 3 bedrooms upstairs. 1st floor laundry room, ceiling fans in each room, AC throughout home. Outside you will find a that the lake is perfect for boating, tubing, kayaking, fishing, water skiing and on and on!! There is a canoe for your use. There is plenty of room on our level, dry lawn to play horseshoes or bean bag toss, volleyball, and there is ample seating on the outdoor patio, or around the campfire pit. Our dock is perfect for fishing. There are sturdy tie offs if you plan on renting a boat, and a very handy launch area for the canoe or a kayak if you happen to bring one. LINEN SERVICE INCLUDED. Fresh bedspreads/duvets, sheets and pillows, and bath towels are provided. Guests should bring all beach towels.
